Ahh! I have been absolutely terrible at keeping up with…
Vodka-licious

Ahh! I have been absolutely terrible at keeping up with my blog... time seems to disappear with the bat of an eyelid. Life isn't getting busy really, its the motivation. But I am here finally.. so why not drink to that eh?! This week I have some Grey Goose Vodka-licious recipes lined up; 3 delicious and colorful cocktails all courtesy of Grey Goose. Bar-tending for my friend and I was fun.. except she had to wait 45 minutes till I was done photographing each drink. Unlike most of my other photography work on EZ, I chose to be a little playful this time and decided to shoot these in the dark! Yup long exposures are fun and oh are they a work out or what... Every shot required me to set up my camera with the lights on, when everything was set I had to run back to switch off the lights and back on once the picture was taken. The first cocktail; I'd like to call it the "Sparkling Hibiscus". I found this jar of preserved hibiscus flowers in MMI and thought it would be excellent for my Grey Goose Vodka creations. Its a real simple recipe and quite a stunner I guarantee. The second recipe was just a combination of a couple fruits I brought home and boy was this a surprise... Lychees and Pineapples! Absolutely delicious, with or without that shot of vodka this drink just flows down your throat like water. Last but not the least; how do you put up a vodka post without the "Vivacious and potent bloody mary"! This lady is beautiful, elegant and perfect cure for those nasty hangovers. What makes these drinks different from most other cocktails.. well its the Grey Goose Vodka! How many times have you crumpled your face and coughed out loud in anticipation that the cough will be able to scratch the itch in your throat and at the same time scrape any reluctant vodka after taste. I have done that and quite a few times... with quite a few of the other vodka brands. The kind of Vodka you use in a drink is what makes or breaks the drink. It needs to feel smooth and flow down your throat as if you were sipping water; without having to pull a face and breathe that pungent air that fills your nose after every sip of your drink; cocktails aren't meant to be had like that. They are meant to enjoy and ease you. Grey Goose does just that and I am being absolutely serious when I say a Grey Goose Vodka shot has been the best vodka shot I have ever done.
